Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, transforming how legal professionals and law firms work. As a Business Development Representative, you'll be a critical part of the sales engine, driving new customer acquisition across all firm segments from Velocity to Mid-Market.
You'll execute outbound prospecting campaigns, making 65-100 cold calls daily to identified target accounts within your assigned segment. Your primary focus is qualifying leads and creating sales opportunities for Account Executive teams. You'll consult with prospects to understand their practice areas, competitive needs, and technical requirements, then demonstrate how Clio's cloud-based suite solves their problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct high-volume cold-calling prospecting to build qualified pipeline
- Collaborate directly with Account Executives to support deal progression
- Build deep understanding of your assigned territory and segment dynamics
- Create awareness and generate interest in Clio's product offerings
- Document all sales activities in Salesforce and track daily KPIs
- Develop sales skills through regular training and coaching cycles
- Adapt to an evolving sales environment with continuous improvement mindset
You'll bring 1-2 years of sales experience (or transferable experience including cold-calling), passion for technology and cloud-based products, and a competitive, growth-oriented mindset. SaaS or tech/IT company sales experience is a strong plus. You're organized, articulate, and genuinely interested in improving your craft—ideally with exposure to AI tools.
Clio offers a hybrid work environment with expectations for local employees to be in-office minimum twice per week. The role includes competitive base salary ($61,600 CAD) plus on-target commission ($26,400 CAD), with uncapped commission potential. Additional benefits include top-tier health/dental/vision coverage, flexible time off (20 days encouraged), RRSP matching, RESP contributions, and counseling benefits.
