Ceribell is a medical technology company transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through its novel point-of-care EEG platform. The Ceribell System is deployed across hundreds of community hospitals, academic facilities, and major integrated delivery networks nationwide, enabling rapid seizure detection in acute care settings. The Business Development Representative (BDR) role is the first point of contact for prospective customers, serving as a critical pipeline generator for the field sales team. This position is ideal for results-driven professionals with outbound prospecting experience or clinically trained professionals (nurses, EEG technologists) transitioning into medical device sales. Key responsibilities include: - Proactive outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and social outreach to physicians, nurses, and hospital stakeholders - Account discovery and research to identify key decision-makers and uncover clinical/operational pain points - Lead qualification to assess fit, urgency, and interest in Ceribell's solutions - Scheduling and coordinating high-quality introductory meetings for field sales partners - Building, tracking, and advancing opportunities through early sales funnel stages - Maintaining accurate account and activity records in Salesforce - Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing on outbound strategies - Developing working knowledge of Ceribell's MedTech solutions - Handling objections professionally while maintaining momentum - Managing assigned territory to maximize pipeline creation Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of sales development, outbound prospecting, or customer-facing experience, or 1+ year in clinical sales support roles with prospecting experience. Acute care, ICU, ED, neuro, or hospital-based background is a plus. Required skills include strong verbal and written communication, Salesforce proficiency, Microsoft Excel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo experience. The role demands a competitive, resilient mindset, comfort with rejection, and strong organizational abilities to manage high activity levels while prioritizing high-value targets.
