The Business Development Representative (BDR) serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers, engaging healthcare stakeholders to understand workflow challenges and generate qualified pipeline for the field sales team. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on prospecting and cold-calling experience, or clinically trained professionals (nurses, EEG technologists) transitioning into medical device sales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactive outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and social outreach to physicians, nurses, and hospital stakeholders within assigned accounts
- Account discovery through research and thoughtful questioning to identify key decision-makers and clinical/operational pain points
- Lead qualification to assess fit, urgency, and interest while articulating Ceribell's value proposition
- Securing and coordinating high-quality introductory meetings for field sales partners
- Building, tracking, and advancing opportunities through early sales funnel stages
- Maintaining accurate account and activity records in Salesforce
- Partnering with Sales and Marketing to execute outbound strategies and campaigns
- Rapidly developing working knowledge of Ceribell's MedTech solutions
- Professionally handling objections while maintaining momentum
- Prioritizing outreach to maximize pipeline creation in assigned territory
