Baselayer is rebuilding the identity and trust infrastructure layer for American business. The company has built the most complete business graph in America by fusing public records, IRS data, sanctions lists, web signals, and fraud telemetry from 2,200+ financial institutions, achieving 98% match rates in under two years—compared to legacy credit bureaus that took 50 years to reach 60%. Trusted by over 20% of US financial institutions including FIS, Rho, and Socure, Baselayer's infrastructure now serves gig platforms, marketplaces, AI companies, and commerce infrastructure at scale. The Agentic Economy team is extending Baselayer's business graph into the trust layer for agentic commerce—a new category being defined right now. This team operates like a startup within a startup, led by a GM and working directly with payment networks, banks, wallet providers, and agent platforms to build verifiable credentials, registries, and verification APIs for agent transactions. As a Business Development Representative, you'll be the tip of the spear—the first conversation prospects have with Baselayer and the engine filling the sales pipeline. This is an early-career role with unusual surface area: you'll work directly with the GM and learn how identity infrastructure gets bought and sold at a company defining a category. You'll research and prospect into target accounts across financial institutions, platforms, payment processors, AI agent builders, and merchant marketplaces. You'll run high-quality outbound campaigns with researched, personalized sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone. You'll book qualified meetings and hand off well-researched opportunities to the GM and Account Executives, personalizing outreach by understanding each prospect's business, pain points, and use case. You'll turn regulatory and industry moments into structured outbound campaigns, hit and exceed activity and pipeline targets, keep CRM data clean and accurate, and learn the product, market, and buyer deeply to build the foundation for a sales career. This is a high-ownership, high-velocity role with a clear path to Account Executive for top performers. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment with a small senior team.
