Alan is a European health insurance leader focused on prevention, with €950M+ in revenue and 1M+ members across France, Belgium, Spain, and Canada. In 2026, Alan acquired Tanel, West Africa's first digital health insurance platform, to accelerate expansion on the African continent. Tanel operates in Senegal and Ivory Coast with 30,000+ members, a network of 1,200+ healthcare facilities and 400+ pharmacies, and 7x revenue growth in 2025. Together, they are building the reference health insurance provider for French-speaking West Africa, targeting $200M revenue by 2030.
You will join a 12-person team in Abidjan as a Business Development Representative, responsible for prospecting, outreach, and needs discovery with prospects. You will adopt a pedagogical approach (Smart) while developing personalized, proximity-based strategies (Soft) for each prospect, ensuring their experience is integral to Alan's overall customer experience.
Key responsibilities include: developing effective prospecting strategies, understanding market specifics, and generating prospect interest through multiple channels (email, social media, direct calls). This role builds essential sales competencies and can lead to internal mobility toward Account Executive, Customer Success Manager, or Key Account Manager positions.
Requirements: authorization to work in Ivory Coast and based in Abidjan or willing to relocate; fluent French; advanced English; Bachelor's degree (Bac +3) or equivalent experience; first experience in sales, business development, or direct customer-facing roles; enthusiasm for the mission; strong teamwork, organization, and multitasking skills; desire to learn and take on increasing responsibilities.
