Teya is a Series C fintech platform built for local businesses across Europe—cafés, restaurants, salons, shops, and entrepreneurs. The company provides financial services tools designed around simplicity, thoughtful design, and genuine human support, replacing clunky legacy systems with modern solutions.
As Business Development Manager for Key Accounts, you will drive Teya's UK growth strategy by owning the full sales cycle for high-value prospects. This is a relationship-led, consultative role where you act as a trusted partner rather than a transactional vendor.
Key responsibilities include:
**Pipeline Building**: Win new business through your own network, inbound leads, partnerships, and referrals. Maintain a sharp, structured pipeline using CRM data and market intelligence. Qualify inbound and referral leads quickly.
**Trust & Relationship Building**: Deeply understand each customer's business challenges, goals, and pressures. Build rapport that converts first calls into long-term partnerships. Apply consultative selling backed by genuine market insight, not scripts.
**Deal Closure**: Run prospecting, presentations, and negotiations that convert. Manage the entire sales process from first call through signed agreement and onboarding. Ensure contract accuracy and compliance with internal processes. Apply strategic sales thinking to lift conversion and customer value.
**Product Mastery**: Master Teya's full product and service range. Position the right solution for each customer based on market insight. Feed customer insights back to Product to shape future development.
**Brand Representation**: Carry Teya's brand and values into every interaction. Represent the company at events and in local business communities. Serve as the trusted escalation point for complex customer needs.
**Operations**: Maintain accurate CRM records, track KPIs across activity/conversion/retention, and follow internal policy and data protection standards.
You'll work independently in a field-based role, balancing customer focus with commercial outcomes. The role offers uncapped commission with typical first-year on-target earnings of £80,000–£100,000 plus base salary, 25 days annual leave, comprehensive benefits (health insurance, pension, therapy, extended parental leave), and clear career progression.
