As a Business Development Manager, you will own the complete sales cycle for UK and EU SMB customers, from initial prospecting through pipeline generation, discovery, negotiation, and deal closure. This is a hunter-focused role with clear revenue targets and quota accountability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and identifying new SMB opportunities across assigned UK and EU territories
- Building and managing a healthy pipeline through self-generated leads and SDR-qualified opportunities
- Conducting discovery conversations, sales negotiations, and closing deals end-to-end
- Managing objections, pricing discussions, and compliance requirements
- Driving early customer activation and time-to-value post-close
- Maintaining accurate Salesforce data, forecasting, and deal hygiene
- Partnering cross-functionally with SDRs, Operations, KYC, Compliance, and Customer Success teams
- Contributing market insights and helping develop sales playbooks and go-to-market initiatives
You bring 4–5 years of B2B sales, business development, or account executive experience with a proven track record of prospecting, closing deals, and hitting revenue targets. You excel at discovery, negotiation, and consultative selling. You're comfortable owning a territory independently, building pipeline from scratch, and are data-driven with strong CRM proficiency. Experience with AI tools for prospecting and productivity is valued.
Nice-to-have qualifications include fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS background; knowledge of payments, FX, cash management, or financial operations; and experience with multi-product selling and upsell/cross-sell strategies.
