Tide is a fintech platform serving over 2 million SMEs globally with business banking, invoicing, and accounting solutions. The company operates across the UK, India, Germany, and France with 2,800+ employees and has raised over $300 million in funding. As a Business Development Event Executive, you will drive lead generation and customer acquisition through field sales at B2B events, trade shows, and networking sessions across the UK. Your primary responsibilities include: **Lead Generation & Conversion**: Identify and attend a minimum of one high-potential external B2B event per week. Actively pitch Tide's platform and accounting tools to business owners on the floor, guide prospects through onboarding, and aggressively follow up on leads via CRM to maximize conversion and paid plan adoption. **Event Execution & Partnership Building**: Co-host and manage logistics for internal events at Tide HQ, including monthly Accountant Society sessions and bi-monthly partner events. Launch and host educational online events to scale reach. Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with event organizers, business hubs, and SME networks. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Affiliates, and Product teams to align event content with campaigns and product updates. **Field Representation & Data Management**: Represent Tide across the UK with regular travel to regional events in Manchester, Birmingham, and other locations. Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in Pipedrive and support the Team Lead in updating event ROI dashboards. Capture event data and photography for post-event recaps. Work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends to match event schedules. You are entrepreneurial, target-driven, and passionate about fintech and helping small businesses. You excel in networking environments, break the ice naturally, handle objections confidently, and convert conversations into active members. You have proven face-to-face B2B or field sales experience, ideally with event coordination or financial products background. You are motivated by performance bonuses and commission, comfortable with cold outreach, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
