This Business Development Associate role is a pre-sales position focused on pipeline generation and lead qualification. You will be the first point of contact for many future customers, responsible for sourcing opportunities, booking meetings with Field Sales Representatives, and qualifying leads. The role reports to the Director of Business Development and works closely with the sales team. Key responsibilities include: booking qualified meetings for FSRs, qualifying leads and converting them into opportunities, conducting lead generation and outbound pipeline development, maintaining accurate CRM records, meeting phone and email activity quotas, researching prospective organizations that can benefit from SecurityScorecard's solutions, identifying decision-makers within target accounts, and collaborating with Marketing and Channel teams on ad hoc projects. You will interact with prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of sales development, lead generation, or business development experience with a proven track record of consistent performance. You should be skilled at crafting creative and persistent outbound messaging, have excellent communication and discovery skills, and be proficient with Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn. This role is designed as a launchpad for a sales career in cybersecurity and SaaS.
