Runlayer is building the enterprise platform for AI Agents, Skills, and MCPs with built-in security, governance, and observability. The company recently raised $30M Series A (Felicis, Khosla Ventures) and is trusted by Gusto, Instacart, Opendoor, dbt Labs, and Decagon.
As Runlayer's first Brand Designer, you will define and shape the company's brand identity across all web and in-person surfaces. This is a high-impact role reporting to the VP of Marketing, where you'll own brand strategy and execution while maintaining startup velocity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead brand execution across marketing, web, events, and sales, balancing foundational system work with high-visibility moments
- Design sales enablement materials (decks, one-pagers, templates) and marketing collateral (OG cards, webpages, social posts, trade show booths, swag)
- Build generative AI brand tools, templates, and standards to scale brand work across the company
- Partner with product design to ensure cohesive brand-product relationship and raise craft standards
- Translate complex technical infrastructure into clear, compelling visual stories for non-technical audiences
You bring a strong creative point of view and a track record of defining or meaningfully evolving a brand. You're comfortable operating as a solo designer while being embedded in a collaborative marketing team. You have strong opinions loosely held, excellent judgment about when to move fast versus when to sweat details, and thrive working across web, campaigns, print, events, decks, and motion. You're proficient in Figma, Paper, Google Slides, and other design tools, with interest in building custom AI tooling. Strong collaboration and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Compensation includes competitive salary and equity, paid time off (vacation, sick leave, parental leave), professional development budget, top-tier equipment, comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage, and direct customer interaction opportunities.
