CreativeX is building the system of creative control for an AI-first marketing world. The company has spent over a decade powering smarter creative decisions for major brands and proving that creative is the single biggest driver of marketing performance. Now, as AI rewrites how content is made, evaluated, and distributed, CreativeX is positioning itself as the essential foundation for marketers who need consistency, intelligence, and governance at scale.
In this Brand and Communications Manager role, you will own the external narrative and executive visibility that establishes CreativeX as the first name in the minds of marketing leaders—not the one they find when searching, but the one already there.
Key responsibilities include:
**Media Relations & Coverage**: Build and maintain relationships with reporters and editors covering marketing, advertising, and enterprise technology. Pitch stories that stand on their own merits and land coverage that CMOs actually see.
**Executive Positioning**: Identify and secure speaking slots, panels, podcasts, and briefings that matter. Prepare senior leaders thoroughly—briefing docs, likely questions, difficult answers—and own whether they arrive ready.
**Reactive Communications**: Draft statements, manage inbound press inquiries, and maintain message discipline during fast-moving situations. You'll be trusted to make calls without committee approval.
**Brand Campaigns**: Run awareness-oriented placements, category sponsorships, and brand advertising from brief to launch. Manage agencies and vendors day-to-day, recommend budget allocation (with CMO approval), and measure success on perception and salience, not pipeline.
**Category Narrative**: Work with Product Marketing to translate positioning into consistent public arguments until the category adopts your language.
**Brand Health Measurement**: Track branded search trends, share of voice against competitors, sentiment, and coverage quality. You'll be accountable for moving signals and expected to report honestly when progress stalls.
This is a hands-on role requiring pitching, drafting, briefing, and chasing. The function becomes what you build it into.
**Requirements:**
- 5–8 years in communications or PR with meaningful enterprise B2B experience (agency-side or in-house)
- Demonstrated coverage you personally pitched and landed in named outlets (not just "supported programmes")
- Strong, fast writing in someone else's voice: press releases, pitches, statements, briefing docs, and executive talking points requiring minimal revision before publication
- Experience preparing senior executives for press, stage, and analyst conversations, including confidence to tell leaders when their answer isn't working
- Judgment under time pressure with examples of handling sensitive situations and explaining your reasoning
- Comfort managing agency and vendor relationships, holding them to briefs, and pushing back on substandard work
- Numeracy about your own function: ability to distinguish coverage that changes buyer perception from busy-work metrics
**Nice to Haves:**
- Fluency in marketing, advertising, agency, or martech sectors
- Experience taking a company from low visibility to recognized category voice
- Analyst relations exposure
- Experience running sponsorships, awards programmes, or owned events at scale
- Background in long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles with realistic understanding of communications' role
