Axle Energy is building software infrastructure for the decarbonized energy system, controlling hundreds of thousands of energy assets including vehicle charging, heating systems, and home batteries to shift energy usage to times when electricity is cheap and green. The company operates at high speed in a legacy industry, backed by leading investors including Energize Capital and Accel. You will lead commercial operations and drive scaling across new markets and clients. This is a wide-ranging role requiring speed and versatility across diverse topics, with high levels of ownership and exposure. Key responsibilities include: - Entering new markets through research, analysis, planning, and delivery - Supporting new and existing clients to maximize value from the software platform - Identifying and executing growth opportunities in new verticals and customer segments - Processing technical information and leveraging data to drive decisions - Overcoming operational barriers with a proactive, problem-solving mindset You'll work in a deliberately flat organizational structure with equitable compensation (1:1 median ratio between founder and team pay). The role is hybrid based at the dog-friendly Farringdon office, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in-office to maximize collaboration. The company offers enhanced parental leave, bi-annual team retreats, and the opportunity to directly shape the future of energy markets. REQUIREMENTS: The posting does not explicitly state formal requirements such as years of experience, specific certifications, or educational credentials. However, the role demands: ability to learn quickly, capacity to absorb and process highly technical information, strong data skills, and a 'run through walls' attitude to overcome barriers. The company actively encourages diverse candidates and those who may not fit traditional role stereotypes, provided they are motivated by the climate/energy mission.
