Charm Industrial is on a mission to return atmospheric CO₂ to 280 ppm by converting excess inedible biomass into carbon-rich bio-oil for permanent underground storage and carbon removal. The company has scaled to thousands of tons of carbon removal, grown to over 100 employees, and operates three locations in San Francisco, Colorado, and Louisiana, with early customers including Stripe, Shopify, and Microsoft.
As Biochar Market Development Manager, you will be Charm's primary biochar seller and the first dedicated owner of biochar commercialization. Based in Fort Lupton, Colorado, you will travel regularly throughout Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and Louisiana to build and manage a portfolio of agricultural customers including growers, ranchers, co-ops, composters, soil blenders, and other large agricultural offtakes.
Key responsibilities include: identifying and recruiting new biochar customers; ensuring biochar is applied to farmland with proper documentation to carbon-registry standards; helping farmers access USDA cost-share programs that subsidize application costs; maintaining ongoing relationships with active customers through regular touchpoints; collaborating with Charm's Materials Science & Engineering team on field trials that convert early adopters into customer references; translating biochar specifications for buyers and communicating their needs back to the materials team; and explaining the science and benefits of biochar without leading the technical work.
You will report directly to Harris Cohn, Chief Revenue Officer. This is an on-the-ground sales role focused on moving biochar into the market and generating verified carbon removal credits while demonstrating soil health benefits.
