Flutterwave is seeking a Backend Engineer with C# expertise to join their growing team across Africa. In this role, you will develop and maintain backend systems using C#, focusing on building scalable, secure, and performant solutions for their fintech platform.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing backend services and APIs using C# and the .NET framework
- Creating innovative solutions to technical challenges and optimizing application performance
- Building fully responsive and reliable web applications
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Git and modern development tools
- Ensuring data privacy and security compliance across customer and employee information
- Implementing regular updates and improvements to product applications
- Demonstrating strong object-oriented and functional design principles
- Working with data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization
- Integrating backend systems with APIs and frontend components
- Contributing to the full software development lifecycle from design through implementation
- Solving complex technical challenges to improve developer productivity and engineering velocity
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience
- Proficient understanding of C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and proactive approach to challenges
- Data-driven mindset with focus on efficiency
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
