The Audio Engineering Lead role sits within Productions, ElevenLabs' managed services division that delivers custom audio solutions including AI-powered dubbing, audiobook production, and voice creation for creators and media businesses. You will lead a team of audio engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in high-impact projects.
Key responsibilities include: leading and mentoring a team of audio engineers; creating and refining custom voices for customers using advanced techniques; cleaning, editing, and preparing customer audio to optimize AI voice cloning and generation quality; providing technical training on ElevenLabs tools and audio best practices; joining customer calls to support creative direction; and acting as a fractional audio engineer embedded in customer workflows.
You'll work on prestigious projects including dubbing for major creators (DudePerfect, Lex Fridman, Andrew Huberman) and leading publishers, while leveraging ElevenLabs' cutting-edge AI audio platform. The role requires translating ambiguous creative briefs into clear technical audio solutions and maintaining deep expertise in voice characteristics, timbre, and performance nuance.
