Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing. As a Sales Engineer, you'll be part of a technically-minded team bringing connected operations technology to customers. Your daily engagements will cover logistics/supply chain management, fleet maintenance strategies, global asset management, machine control systems, system integration, and regulatory compliance. You'll develop deep understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, installation/deployment scenarios, carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and third-party system integrations via open APIs. Key responsibilities include: - Drive go-to-market strategy for emerging technologies in the mid-market segment, ensuring repeatable and scalable sales motions - Serve as the bridge between Product Management and the Sales Engineering organization, translating technical edge cases into product requirements and beta opportunities - Enable Account Executives and SEs to lead with value-based discovery, shifting focus from features to strategic outcomes for new technologies - Create and deliver high-impact enablement content including demo environments, technical whitepapers, and competitive battlecards - Track technical health of new product launches by monitoring proof-of-concept success rates and identifying deployment friction points You should have a BS in Engineering (Electrical, CS, Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent practical experience in industrial IoT or SaaS. You'll need 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or customer/product support. Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (Command of the Message, MEDDPICC) and ability to coach others is essential. Strong technical curiosity and ability to quickly learn complex systems required.
