Okta is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to serve as a technical and business advisor to developer personas across Australian commercial customers and the APJ timezone (primarily ANZ). This role bridges sales and engineering, positioning Auth0 identity solutions to address critical security challenges throughout the sales cycle.
Key responsibilities include partnering with sales teams as the go-to identity authority, architecting and executing hands-on Proof of Concepts (POCs) for complex customer use cases, and addressing in-depth technical and security inquiries from developers, architects, and CTOs. You will serve as the strategic voice of the customer, bringing market insights and developer feedback to Product Management, while championing best practices and acting as an identity evangelist at industry events and customer briefings.
Required qualifications include 4+ years as a Presales, Solutions, or Sales Engineer in IAM or security, with proven ability to engage and gain trust with developer personas and architects. You must have deep understanding of the identity security ecosystem, hands-on expertise with core identity standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP), and modern application security principles. Exceptional technical communication skills, including live coding and whiteboarding, are essential. Experience building partner engagements and co-selling is required.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AI agents, Generative AI integration, hands-on exposure to AWS/GCP/Azure, DevOps practices (Kubernetes, Terraform), REST API integration, and demonstrated high learning agility with collaborative problem-solving skills.
