Artiva Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing natural killer (NK) cell-based therapies for autoimmune diseases. The company's lead product, AlloNK®, is a non-genetically modified, cryopreserved NK cell therapy designed for use in community settings.
The Associate Scientist, Process Development will conduct analytical testing to support the development and characterization of off-the-shelf, allogeneic NK cell therapies. Working within a cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with Analytical and Process Development groups to transfer assays and perform characterization testing that advances process development activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting routine in vitro testing to support process development experiments and enhance product understanding
- Analyzing data, interpreting results, trending data, and maintaining detailed records
- Providing data for technical reports, standard operating procedures, and regulatory submissions
- Managing assay transfers from internal functional groups to Process Development as needed
- Identifying assay and process issues, investigating root causes, and driving troubleshooting to resolution
- Coordinating cross-functional activities to support process development and product characterization
- Training Process Development personnel on analytical testing procedures
Required qualifications: B.S. with 8+ years or M.S. in a biological field with 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience. Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, plate readers, and automated cell counters is required. Strong organizational, record-keeping, time management, and communication skills are essential.
Preferred qualifications include previous exposure to analytical testing in a regulated (GxP) pharma/biotech environment, experience with functional assays, and background in cell therapy, immunology, or oncology.
