Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing. As an Associate Sales Engineer, you'll be part of a technically-minded team bringing Samsara's connected operations technology to customers across the UK and Ireland. Your daily engagements will involve conversations around logistics and supply chain management, fleet maintenance strategies, global asset management, machine control systems, system integration, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include: - Becoming an expert on Samsara products, where cutting-edge IoT, AI, and computer vision technology meets digital transformation for physical operations - Conducting quick and efficient discovery to understand customer needs and answer technical questions, ideally on a single call - Providing demo and account coverage support across the sales team - Understanding device installation processes well enough to explain them to prospects - Educating customers on technical aspects of APIs and deploying scripts leveraging the Samsara API to testing environments - Acting as an advocate for account executives, prospects, and customers in internal technical conversations - Serving as a liaison between product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs - Championing Samsara's values and operating principles as the company scales You'll develop thorough understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, hands-on installation and deployment scenarios, carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and third-party system integrations via the open API to ensure proper technical solutions for customers. Minimum requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. Preferred 1+ years experience in pre-sales or customer support. Must be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, have basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems, and be well-versed in cloud software, networking, or automation and control systems. Experience with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.
