As an Associate Sales Engineer on the Southeast desk, you'll be part of a technically-minded team bringing Samsara's connected operations technology to customers. Your daily engagements will involve conversations around logistics and supply chain management, fleet maintenance strategies, global asset management, machine control systems, system integration, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include: becoming an expert on Samsara products (IoT, AI, computer vision); conducting efficient discovery to understand customer needs and answer technical questions; providing demo and account coverage support across the sales team; understanding device installation well enough to explain it to prospects; educating customers on API technical aspects and deploying scripts to testing environments; advocating for account executives, prospects, and customers in internal technical discussions; acting as a liaison between product and sales teams, translating feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs; and championing Samsara's values as the company scales.
You'll develop thorough understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, hands-on installation and deployment scenarios, carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and third-party system integrations via the open API. The role is remote for candidates in the Southeast US region (excluding specific metro areas like SF Bay, NYC, DC, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Seattle, Denver, and Boulder).
