As an Associate Sales Engineer on the SE Desk, you'll be part of a technically-minded team bringing Samsara's connected operations technology to customers. You'll support the Global Sales Team by managing inbound technical inquiries, assisting with technical trials and proof-of-concepts, and creating software scripting solutions and integrations. Daily engagements involve conversations around logistics/supply chain management, fleet maintenance, asset management, machine control systems, system integration, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and maintain an inbound technical question queue from the sales team
- Assist with technical trials to demonstrate Samsara solutions within prospect operations
- Create software scripting solutions and integrations for technical proof-of-concepts
- Provide internal Q&A support to account teams on behalf of customers
- Produce and manage digital content for product learning, adoption, hardware installation, and software configuration
- Update and manage internal hardware and software lab infrastructure (in-office and remote kits)
- Coordinate and participate in new product testing activities
- Gather and highlight industry-specific customer use cases
- Coordinate cross-functional communication for prospect success (RFP responses, feature requests, support triaging)
You'll develop a thorough understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, installation/deployment scenarios, carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and third-party system integrations via Samsara's open API. This role requires fluency in French and is open to US-based candidates (excluding Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Boulder, California, Denver, Seattle, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island metros).
