Allica Bank is the UK's fastest-growing fintech firm, focused on serving established SMEs—a major underserved segment representing over a third of the UK economy. The Relationship Management team, formed in 2022, pairs expert human relationships with modern banking technology to deliver lending, current accounts, savings, asset finance, and working capital solutions.
As an Associate Relationship Manager, you will manage a portfolio of SME customers, delivering outstanding service while building genuine, trusting relationships. You'll develop deep understanding of clients' businesses and ambitions, manage a range of commercial targets including lending and deposit acquisition, and identify client needs through Allica's product suite.
Key responsibilities include: building a trusted external network with SME advisers and business communities to generate new opportunities; managing risk effectively on your portfolio with proactive identification of client stress; working closely with a Senior Relationship Manager on a bespoke development plan; participating in new business campaigns including events, lead follow-up, and cold calling; supporting event organization to strengthen local relationships; maintaining accurate CRM records and follow-up discipline; and collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
You should have some B2B sales, account management, or SME banking experience with a clear interest in building a career in SME relationship banking. Commercial lending experience and financial account analysis skills are beneficial. You're curious, proactive, and motivated to develop lending, sales, risk management, and portfolio management capabilities through training and coaching. You're confident engaging with customers, prospects, and advisers across multiple channels, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with CRM tools, data management, and AI tools in business environments is valued. You bring an energetic, resilient, hands-on approach with problem-solving ownership and strong communication skills that build credibility across all stakeholder groups.
