Datadog is seeking an Associate Field Marketing Manager to lead event strategy and execution for its AI product line across the US East and Canada region. This role owns the full lifecycle of practitioner-focused events, hands-on workshops, and conference activations designed to build brand awareness and drive adoption of Datadog's AI observability and LLM monitoring capabilities.
Key responsibilities include: developing and executing event strategy across the East and Canada territories; leading surround activations and off-site programs at major AI conferences (NVIDIA GTC, Ray Summit, AI Engineer Summit, etc.); partnering with Product Marketing and AI/ML teams to create technically credible event content; designing and improving hands-on workshop curricula and live demos; building scalable event playbooks and toolkits for consistent execution across markets; managing vendors, venues, budgets, staffing, and on-site logistics; aligning event strategy with Sales and Field Marketing priorities; tracking pipeline influence and ROI; and cultivating relationships with AI developer communities and local user groups.
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of field marketing, event marketing, or program management experience, ideally with technical or developer audiences. You should have genuine enthusiasm for AI/ML, hands-on experience planning and running practitioner events, strong project management skills to juggle multiple simultaneous events and budgets, excellent communication abilities for technical audiences, and a collaborative cross-functional mindset. Familiarity with SFDC, Marketo, or similar tools is a plus. The role requires up to 50% travel. Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace and values continuous learning and career development.
