Curriculum Associates is seeking an Associate Educational Sales Consultant to support sales efforts and build relationships within K–8 school districts. The company serves a third of the nation's K–8 students with award-winning programs like i-Ready, and is looking for a client-facing professional to partner with the territory team in driving growth.
In this role, you will work alongside the Director of Sales and Educational Sales Consultants to develop expertise in the company's digital and print-based products and services. You'll identify new sales opportunities and expansion possibilities within assigned accounts, establish relationships with school district leaders, and develop partnerships with pilot teachers to ensure smooth implementations. You'll deliver sales presentations under guidance, participate in district visits, conferences, webinars, and customer-facing events to increase awareness and engagement.
Key responsibilities include assisting with account identification and expansion, launching and maintaining successful engagement campaigns with district administrators, developing effective relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Service, Account Management, and Product Development teams, and learning to develop and implement sales plans and strategies. You'll maintain accurate and timely updates on account activity, opportunities, customer interactions, and next steps, while gathering competitive intelligence and sharing market feedback to inform territory strategies.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 0–2 years of sales experience (educational and/or SaaS-based sales preferred), and familiarity with MS Office Suite, web-based presentation tools, and Salesforce.com. You should be able to demonstrate digital and technology solutions to educators. The position involves overnight travel and the ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
