Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company advancing programs in Endocrinology Rare Disease and Oncology, seeks an Associate Director of Global Scientific Training to lead and develop scientific training programs for Medical Affairs teams worldwide.
In this pivotal role, you will shape training curricula, develop engaging learning experiences, and foster a culture of continuous learning across the organization. You'll collaborate with cross-functional scientific affairs teams to ensure scientific standards alignment globally, taking into account cultural differences and diverse learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and updating scientific training content and curricula for diverse medical audiences
- Creating engaging training materials and curricula in collaboration with internal subject matter experts
- Facilitating training sessions, workshops, and seminars using adult learning principles
- Evaluating training effectiveness through formal and informal assessments
- Staying current with industry trends, disease state areas, and treatment guidelines
- Supporting onboarding for new employees and engaging experienced team members
- Fostering a positive learning environment that encourages participation and knowledge sharing
- Exploring new formats and technologies to enhance engagement via learning management systems
- Participating in the advancement of a Global Medical Affairs fellowship program
You bring 8+ years of biotech/pharma training experience, prior field medical or clinical experience, and a PharmD or PhD. Clinical development experience is desired. You excel at interpersonal communication, can work independently and collaboratively, and are proficient with learning management systems and Microsoft Office. You're comfortable traveling up to 20% domestically and occasionally internationally.
