Chime, a fintech company democratizing financial services, is seeking an Associate Creative Director to lead their Performance Creative Program. You'll operate as a player-coach—designing high-performing creative yourself while mentoring and guiding a team of designers, copywriters, and video editors. The role combines strategic creative direction with hands-on execution across performance marketing channels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide creative direction and feedback across design, copywriting, and video editing disciplines, ensuring cohesive messaging and brand alignment
- Originate creative concepts and campaigns rooted in cultural and social trends, not just execute against briefs
- Partner cross-functionally with Channel Managers, Creative Strategists, and brand teams to shape actionable briefs and ensure DR creative drives KPIs while maintaining brand voice
- Collaborate with external agency and freelance partners, providing clear briefs and timely feedback
- Guide creative approach across performance channels: paid social, organic/owned, CTV, and print
- Set quality standards balancing brand consistency with performance requirements and production velocity
- Champion AI-assisted workflows, identifying where generative AI tools accelerate ideation, scripting, storyboarding, and asset variation
You bring 8-10+ years in performance creative with proven experience leading or managing creative teams. You excel at both concepting original ideas and executing design, with multi-disciplinary fluency in video editing, copywriting, and brand strategy. You're deeply fluent in cultural and social trends and have experience managing external creative partners. Experience with UGC-style production and AI tools is a strong plus. You balance brand guidelines with performance requirements and understand what makes creative win across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google, and print.
