The Associate Clinical Sales Manager (ACSM) is a field-based commercial role designed as a development pathway to a full Clinical Sales Manager position. You will own a defined book of business within a 3-hour drivable territory in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, responsible for generating leads, securing first meetings, onboarding new accounts, and driving activation and reorder growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and executing localized account plans, segmenting targets by opportunity size and readiness
- Generating leads and securing first meetings for assigned territory
- Designing and executing prospecting to identify and qualify high-potential targets
- Converting first orders into sustained ordering behavior and habit formation
- Expanding the number of ordering providers within each account
- Cultivating relationships with lab directors, infectious disease physicians, pharmacists, and ordering clinicians
- Leading consultative, evidence-based conversations connecting Karius diagnostic solutions to clinical context
- Partnering with Inside Sales Representatives and Clinical Sales Managers to ensure seamless handoffs and complementary coverage
- Maintaining active Salesforce pipeline tied to adoption milestones
- Documenting customer interactions and sharing field intelligence with leadership
You will work closely with an overseeing CSM/Sr. CSM and Inside Sales Representative, reporting to a Regional Sales Director. As accounts reach sustained-active status (≥12 tests/quarter), they graduate to the overseeing CSM or become part of your earned territory upon promotion.
This role requires significant field travel (up to 75%) within the defined territory, working in hospitals, medical offices, and clinical laboratories. The position is designed for high-potential individuals motivated by clear advancement trajectory and willing to relocate when opportunities arise. Karius provides formal sales training on products, clinical applications, and patient care impact.
