Moody's is seeking an Assistant Director - Relationship Manager for its Insurance division in London. This is a management-track sales role focused on driving revenue growth within the insurance and reinsurance sector.
You will lead complex B2B sales cycles targeting insurance and reinsurance clients, serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across risk management, finance, actuarial, and investment functions. Your responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies for assigned territories, identifying and qualifying prospects, managing deals through closure, and building long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive business growth by leading strategic sales opportunities and delivering solutions to insurance/reinsurance clients
- Build and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals within assigned territories
- Partner with sales colleagues and internal stakeholders to identify prospects and manage the full sales cycle
- Develop new business opportunities and collaborate with Solution Specialists on tailored proposals and demonstrations
- Serve as primary point of contact for client stakeholders across multiple functions
- Expand Moody's presence across the insurance ecosystem by engaging with consultants, regulators, and industry associations
- Collaborate with Product Management and Strategy teams on market feedback and new revenue opportunities
- Provide sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, represent the company at industry events, and travel as needed
Required qualifications:
- Proven B2B sales experience in financial services, preferably insurance/reinsurance
- Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance industry, regulatory requirements, risk management, finance, actuarial, and investment functions
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales cycles through consultative, solution-oriented selling
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify client needs and opportunities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in AI concepts with hands-on experience using AI tools; awareness of AI risk management
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
