Kasa is a tech-enabled hospitality platform that manages short-term rental apartments and hotel rooms across dozens of markets nationwide. The company partners with multifamily and boutique hospitality property owners to deliver stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers. The Area Sales Manager will report to the Associate Director of Sales and lead sales execution for Kasa's portfolio in a defined geographic area. This role focuses on prospecting and closing group and preferred corporate leads across all market segments, including leisure travel, corporate preferred accounts, and group bookings. You will work closely with Revenue Management, Reservations, and Operations teams to drive revenue growth and expand Kasa's partnerships. Key responsibilities include: - Executing a comprehensive sales strategy targeting corporate, group, and leisure segments - Prospecting and qualifying inbound leads to identify partnership opportunities - Building and maintaining relationships with key corporate and group clients - Leveraging local market connections to drive SMERF (Social, Military, Education, Religious, Fraternal) business - Overseeing territory sales strategy and pipeline management - Analyzing travel trends, competitor positioning, and demand dynamics - Negotiating contracts and closing deals across accounts of varying size and scope - Breaking down monthly targets into weekly achievable tasks and tracking metrics Required experience includes 3–5+ years in hotel group sales, corporate accounts, or extended-stay property sales. You should have a proven track record building and growing key client relationships, particularly with community-based organizations. Proficiency with hotel CRM systems, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment are essential. The ideal candidate is metrics-driven, detail-oriented, relationship-centric, and comfortable operating independently while contributing to team success.
