Teya is a Series C fintech company building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe. The company focuses on simplifying financial services for cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs through intuitive tools, thoughtful design, and human-centered support. As Area Sales Manager for South London and the South East, you'll lead and scale Teya's Independent Sales Consultant (ISC) channel—a network of self-employed sales professionals. Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, you'll own the full lifecycle of consultant development, from onboarding through independence, with particular emphasis on the critical first 90 days. Key responsibilities include: - Building and leading a commission-only sales network, setting standards and driving accountability through influence and partnership rather than traditional management - Taking full ownership of regional commercial performance and revenue targets - Providing hands-on field coaching alongside ISCs during merchant calls and weekly reviews - Conducting regular quality assessments with Sales Enablement to identify blockers and at-risk consultants early - Organizing monthly in-person sessions to build team culture and drive consistent performance - Analyzing data to uncover growth opportunities and regional acceleration levers - Championing consultant experience by feeding field insights to Product, Marketing, and Operations teams You'll spend a minimum of 50% of your time in the field across your territory, requiring a car and willingness to travel. Success is measured by both revenue impact and the strength and maturity of the channel you build. Ideal candidates have proven B2B field sales experience, ideally in payments, fintech, or software. You're commercially literate, comfortable with performance data and unit economics, highly organized, and resilient in fast-moving environments. You communicate directly and empathetically, can give honest feedback while maintaining relationships, and are process-disciplined with experience building scalable operations. Teya offers flexible working hours, GymPass membership (1,500+ UK gyms), 1-1 therapy and wellness apps, extended parental leave, Cycle-to-Work Scheme, health and life insurance, enhanced pension, and 25 days annual leave.
