Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers adopting Claude AI. This pre-sales role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to architect innovative LLM solutions addressing complex business challenges.
You will partner with account executives and internal teams (Sales, Product, Engineering) to guide customers from initial technical discovery through successful deployment. Key responsibilities include understanding customer requirements and translating them into technical solutions, serving as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey, supporting both Claude API and Claude for Work implementations, and creating compelling technical content for diverse audiences—from engineering teams to C-suite executives.
You will guide architecture decisions, help customers integrate Claude into existing technology stacks, develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases, and identify common integration patterns to feed back to product and engineering teams. The role involves occasional travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship building.
Required qualifications include 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager), native or C1-level German with fluent English, experience navigating complex enterprise buying cycles with multiple stakeholders, and exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. You should have strong experience designing scalable cloud architectures, integrating with enterprise systems, Python proficiency, and familiarity with LLM frameworks or background in machine learning/data science. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent cross-organizational collaboration skills, enjoys teaching and mentoring, and is passionate about safe and beneficial AI systems.
