Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect to serve as a pre-sales technical advisor for enterprise customers adopting Claude AI. You will combine deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to architect innovative LLM solutions addressing complex business challenges.
Key responsibilities include partnering with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions, serving as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey from discovery through deployment, and coordinating across internal teams to drive customer success. You will support customers building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work, create and deliver compelling technical content tailored to different audiences (from engineering deep dives to executive business value conversations), and guide technical architecture decisions for integrating Claude into existing technology stacks.
Additional responsibilities include helping customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for their specific use cases, identifying common integration patterns to share with Product and Engineering teams, occasional travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship building, and maintaining strong knowledge of the latest LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.
You should have 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager. Native German speaker with fluent English is required. You need experience working with enterprise customers through complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders, exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences (C-suite executives, engineering teams, IT teams), and strong technical communication skills translating between technical and business stakeholders.
Desirable qualifications include experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems, comfort with Python, familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools or background in machine learning/data science, excitement for cross-organizational collaboration, and a passion for thinking creatively about safe and beneficial AI technology.
