Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect to serve as a pre-sales technical advisor for enterprise customers in Japan. In this role, you will be the primary technical liaison helping large enterprises understand Claude's capabilities and successfully integrate it into their technology stacks.
You will partner closely with account executives to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your responsibilities include conducting technical discovery sessions, guiding architecture decisions, helping customers develop evaluation frameworks for Claude's performance, and delivering compelling technical content tailored to diverse audiences—from engineering teams to C-suite executives.
You'll support customers working with both the Claude API and Claude for Work, coordinate across Anthropic's internal teams to drive customer success, and occasionally travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship building. A key part of the role is identifying common integration patterns and feeding insights back to Product and Engineering teams to inform future development.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager. You must have native-level Japanese fluency and business-level English. You should be comfortable with Python, familiar with LLM frameworks and tools, and have experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems. Strong communication skills, the ability to navigate complex enterprise buying cycles, and genuine enthusiasm for safe and beneficial AI are essential.
