Runway is seeking a senior individual contributor to serve as API Deployment Manager, working with strategic API partners to drive adoption and success of Runway's generative AI tools for video and creative production. This role bridges technical and business functions, requiring someone who can own end-to-end partner relationships from onboarding through expansion.
Key responsibilities include: owning relationships with top API partners (Fortune 100 companies, Hollywood studios, advertising agencies, tech companies, e-commerce platforms) as their primary technical point of contact; conducting technical discovery sessions to understand partners' content generation needs and infrastructure; architecting scalable, production-ready solutions; identifying new market opportunities; developing deep functional and technical understanding of Runway's products and roadmap; hands-on onboarding of new partners to the API Developer Portal; triaging and resolving technical escalations with cross-functional engineering support; providing product feedback; and analyzing partnership performance using BI tools.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, Developer Relations) engaging technical stakeholders at complex global organizations; demonstrated success leading complex Generative AI/ML solution implementations with measurable business outcomes; ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments managing multiple priorities; strong bias toward action and hands-on execution; track record of rapidly prototyping AI-powered API applications; exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences; strong presentation and communication skills for executive engagement; creative thinking beyond standard playbooks; resourcefulness and autonomy in ambiguous environments; experience with data tooling and BI systems (SQL, BigQuery, Retool, etc.); preference for NYC or SF-based candidates.
