Robinhood is seeking an Android Engineer to join the Government Products team in New York. This role focuses on building mobile experiences for a historic government initiative—Trump Accounts—developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Treasury and BNY Mellon to expand market access for the next generation of Americans. You will own features end-to-end, from inception through design, implementation, and launch. The team is building intuitive, secure, and scalable mobile experiences for long-term investing and account management. You'll work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data teams to deliver reliable systems that serve millions of customers. Key responsibilities include: - Building smooth, stable, and elegant Android products using Kotlin and the latest Android APIs - Owning features from conception to production - Collaborating across product, design, and backend teams - Writing clean, maintainable code with strong attention to detail - Leveraging Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (or RxJava), Retrofit, and Room Required qualifications: - 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer applications at scale - Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Jetpack - Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with PMs and designers - Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Robinhood offers competitive compensation with performance-driven bonuses, equity ownership, 401(k) matching, comprehensive health insurance (100% for employees, 90% for dependents), lifestyle wallet for wellness and learning, employer-paid life and disability insurance, fertility and mental health benefits, and flexible time off.
