Island is seeking an AI Implementation Specialist to serve as a trusted technical advisor helping enterprise customers design, deploy, and operationalize AI governance and control solutions. This role bridges sales engineering and customer success, combining technical depth with consultative customer engagement.
You will lead technical discovery sessions with Fortune 500 and large enterprise clients, understanding their AI strategy, security requirements, and compliance needs. You'll deliver executive-level platform demonstrations tailored to customer industries and use cases, translating complex AI governance architectures for C-level and security stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing AI governance policies integrated with customer infrastructure, configuring critical control points such as MCP Gateways and custom hooks to protect sensitive data, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. You will architect scalable solutions using Island's Enterprise AI Platform, providing visibility and control across SaaS and desktop AI applications.
You'll also create technical documentation, deliver enablement sessions, and train customers on the platform. Ongoing support includes troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing AI deployments in customer environments, while engaging cross-functional stakeholder teams to drive adoption.
Required experience includes 2+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Architect, Implementation Engineer, Sales Engineer, or TAM) at enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure vendors. You need 2+ years of enterprise software delivery or technical consulting with hands-on AI tooling, LLM integrations, or modern API architecture experience. Strong knowledge of enterprise security, Data Loss Prevention, Zero Trust concepts, and LLM data handling is essential. You should have hands-on experience with AI control points like LLM Gateways, API proxies, and Model Context Protocol connectors, plus deep understanding of web application execution, API integration models, and event-driven architectures.
