OpenAI's AI Deployment Engineering team is seeking a Senior AI Deployment Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers implementing generative AI solutions. This role bridges OpenAI's product capabilities with customer business objectives, helping large organizations transform operations through AI-powered applications in customer service, content generation, and novel use cases.
You will embed deeply with strategic platform customers as their primary technical thought partner, working across their organization from C-suite stakeholders to engineering teams. Key responsibilities include: identifying high-value GenAI applications aligned with customer industry and strategy; designing enterprise architectures leveraging ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs, and complementary services; building hands-on prototypes to accelerate time-to-value; managing stakeholder relationships to ensure successful deployment and scaling; and synthesizing customer feedback to inform product and research roadmaps.
The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of technical consulting or equivalent experience, with demonstrated success bridging technical and business stakeholders. You should have led complex implementations of generative AI or traditional ML solutions, understand cloud and network architecture, and have proficiency in Python or JavaScript. You excel at end-to-end problem ownership, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and thrive managing multiple concurrent projects with ruthless prioritization.
This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office weekly) based in Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore, with relocation assistance available. You will report to the Head of Technical Success, APAC, and collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Applied Research, and Product teams.
