Recycle Track Systems (RTS) is a sustainability-focused technology company that helps businesses and organizations incorporate waste management and recycling into their operations. The company uses sensors, GPS tracking, and data analytics to track materials from source to recycling and composting facilities, enabling customers to reach zero-waste goals. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be a core member of the Finance team, managing the complete invoicing lifecycle and ensuring accurate, timely billing and payment processing. You'll work with both internal teams and customers to resolve billing issues, manage collections, and maintain strong financial records. Key responsibilities include: - Own the full client invoicing lifecycle from creation through resolution - Prepare and process customer invoices for contract and on-demand clients - Manage customer portal submissions and coordinate with internal teams on billing concerns - Review customer contracts for billing accuracy and completeness - Track and report on AR metrics including aging and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) - Post journal entries and ensure accurate transaction recording - Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile daily payment activity, settlement batches, and bank deposits - Perform general ledger and customer account reconciliations - Maintain and update customer records and billing data - Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and open items - Respond to customer inquiries and follow up on outstanding issues - Initiate collections on past-due accounts and negotiate payment solutions - Contribute to ad-hoc accounting projects and support continuous improvement of AR policies and procedures You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities with ease, and bring strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to every task. **Requirements:** Must Have: - 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting, with a focus on collections - Moderate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook - Data analysis proficiency - Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities - Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment - Capable of working independently with minimal supervision Nice to Have: - Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Waste industry experience or knowledge - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
