Adyen, a global financial technology platform serving major clients like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft, is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Process Specialist to join the Finance Operations team in São Paulo, Brazil.
This role is primarily focused on end-to-end Accounts Payable operations (80% of time), including accurate supplier invoice entry with Nota Fiscal validation, approval routing, and timely payment execution. You will also own key Accounts Receivable workflows (20% of time), including clearing internal support queues, performing payment reconciliation, and supporting LATAM-based e-invoicing initiatives.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support Adyen's rapid expansion in LATAM in a scalable, controlled, and compliant manner. As part of the centralized Finance Operations team—the financial engine room of a registered and listed financial institution—you will take ownership of day-to-day transaction flows, drive process automation, and maintain sub-ledger accuracy across both AP and AR functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning global processes such as supplier invoice processing, payment execution, and stakeholder communication (internal and external)
- Driving automation initiatives to streamline core AP and AR functions and improve accuracy, working with global leads and operational teams
- Collaborating across Group Finance (Financial Controlling, Payroll, Tax teams) and external stakeholders on invoicing and payment matters
- Contributing to process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives to support organizational scaling
This is an office-first role based in São Paulo with a strong emphasis on in-person collaboration.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in operational accounting; Accounts Payable experience is preferred, with exposure to Accounts Receivable or billing workflows
- Experience with Workday financial systems is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical mindset
- Automation-focused approach to work
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization skills
- Proactive, independent work style with willingness to seek help when needed
- Strategic thinking: ability to anticipate future needs, question the status quo, and implement creative solutions to support rapid growth
- Agility in navigating regulatory changes, such as the upcoming Brazilian tax reform
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
