Saronic Technologies, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Austin, TX, is a leader in autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense. The company is in a period of rapid growth and seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and scale the AP function.
In this role, you will manage a team of AP professionals and oversee high-volume, complex payables across domestic and international operations. You will be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Key responsibilities include managing domestic and international vendor payments with foreign currency transactions and compliance with local regulations; partnering with Procurement, Accounting, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure proper GL coding and streamline workflows; processing and submitting year-end 1099 reports and sales tax allocations by state; owning month-end close activities including reconciliations and reporting; driving process improvements and automation to support scale; maintaining positive vendor relationships and resolving escalations; and supporting audits with documentation and process insights.
You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists, fostering accountability, growth, and high performance in a fast-growing, complex manufacturing environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including at least 2+ years managing a team
- Fluent understanding of three-way matching process and direct/indirect materials procurement workflows
- Experience operating in a fast-growing, complex organization
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable best practices
- Experience with international payments, multi-currency environments, and global vendors
- Proficiency with modern ERP systems and AP automation tools (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, deadline-driven environment with evolving priorities

- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience scaling AP processes during periods of rapid company growth
