Carlsmed is a medical device company focused on improving outcomes and reducing costs in spine surgery through its aprevo® personalized surgery platform. As an Account Manager, you will be a key member of the commercial team, reporting to the Area Vice President and collaborating with Sales Directors to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction within your assigned territory (St. Louis or Kansas City area).
Your primary responsibilities include supporting surgeon acquisition and adoption by training and onboarding new clinics on the aprevo technology platform, ensuring seamless integration and accelerating completion of initial case series. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and clinic staff, including schedulers, office managers, and physician assistants. You'll ensure timely collection of imaging and pre-surgical patient information to support surgery scheduling, and maintain the aprevo Certified Provider user base while driving deeper penetration in approved accounts.
You will partner with sales directors and marketing teams to drive awareness through program marketing efforts, implement Personalized Spine Program education initiatives, and communicate field sales activities, events, and trends to stakeholders. You'll develop clinical acumen around aprevo procedures and be able to present clinical study data to customers. Daily CRM maintenance and weekly/quarterly activity reporting are essential, along with ensuring compliance with clinic and hospital regulations.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of experience in medical devices, surgical, imaging, or related fields, with 1–3 years of spine experience and familiarity with medical device sales strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience. You must be able to manage a large territory and travel up to 60%. Strong communication, problem-solving, customer relationship management, and collaboration skills are essential.
