Funding Circle is a fintech platform that uses data-driven technology to provide UK small businesses with fast access to funding (loans, cards, and lines of credit). This is an individual contributor sales role focused on outbound prospecting and closing a high-volume pipeline of SME prospects.
You will run the full sales cycle independently, from initial outreach through to issuing financial products. The role is phone-driven and fast-paced, with expectations of approximately 50 dials per day. You'll engage prospects via telephone and email, understand their business goals, and identify appropriate financial solutions. You are responsible for your own monthly sales targets and will work with data-driven prospect lists provided by the company.
Key responsibilities include: managing a high-volume, high-quality pipeline of SME prospects; executing outbound sales with a consultative approach; managing the entire commercial lifecycle end-to-end; building rapport quickly with customers; problem-solving and mitigating risks independently; and mentoring junior colleagues to lift team performance.
The ideal candidate has proven B2B sales success in commercial finance or SME lending, a track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets, and the ability to run the entire sales cycle independently. You should have exceptional telephone skills, be highly organized in managing a busy pipeline, and be resilient and coachable. Familiarity with generative AI tools is valued.
