Ramp is building intelligent financial infrastructure for enterprise spend management, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ companies. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes for ambitious businesses.
As a Growth Account Manager, you will own expansion and retention across a scaled portfolio of Ramp customers. You'll identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, develop expansion strategies, and manage the entire sales process from discovery through close. This is an early-stage role on the team, offering the opportunity to help build and refine Ramp's scaled account management motion.
Key responsibilities include: identifying expansion opportunities within your customer portfolio and owning the full sales cycle; developing and executing upsell/cross-sell strategies while maintaining a robust pipeline; building deep understanding of customer personas to act as a trusted advisor; leveraging sales methodologies to uncover customer needs; gathering customer feedback to inform product roadmap and strategy; and collaborating cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency while advocating for customers.
You'll need a minimum of 2 years in customer-facing or direct sales roles, with a proven track record in high-velocity environments. CRM experience (preferably Salesforce) is required, along with comfort in outbound prospecting and product demonstrations. A consultative sales approach combined with analytical and quantitative skills is essential. You should be comfortable discussing value propositions with C-level executives and finance teams, with a consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills are critical, along with entrepreneurial mindset and high sense of urgency.
