The Account Manager, Financial Services role sits within the Customer Success team, which combines Product Specialists and Account Managers serving Fortune 1000 businesses and major financial institutions. This position focuses on developing three-dimensional relationships with financial services clients—including hedge funds, asset managers, investment banks, and private equity firms—to drive retention, adoption, and expansion revenue.
Key responsibilities include: maximizing retention rates across your book of business; identifying and driving adoption of AlphaSense solutions into new business units within existing clients; forecasting retention and identifying revenue at risk; collaborating with Account Executives to uncover growth opportunities; and serving as the primary point of contact for inbound queries, outbound engagement, relationship updates, and renewal discussions.
You'll be expected to understand client business models, organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics to communicate effectively with both end users and C-level decision makers. The role requires distilling complex product capabilities into simple, compelling messaging tailored to different stakeholders.
Ideal candidates have demonstrated success managing relationships within Fortune 1000 or financial services companies; strong business acumen and SaaS best practices knowledge; familiarity with AI and/or research-based products; exceptional communication skills (oral, written, presentation); and the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing environment.
