As an Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of mid-market accounts (up to 200 employees) with 100+ accounts under management. Your primary responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and C-level executives, identifying customer needs, and ensuring they achieve their goals through Alan's offerings.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor account health, identify dissatisfaction signals, and implement solutions
- Drive adoption of Alan's health partner positioning among employees and administrators
- Analyze consumption reports and present findings through business reviews
- Execute engagement initiatives to deepen customer relationships
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities aligned with customer pain points
- Renegotiate contracts to balance customer value with sustainable profitability
- Act as the voice of customers in product and service evolution discussions
You bring 2-5 years of customer-facing experience with exposure to C-level and HR decision-makers. You excel at negotiation, active listening, and building trust-based relationships. You have a growth mindset, adapt to market trends, and understand the health insurance landscape. Experience in insurance or benefits is a plus but not required.
The role is based in Toronto with 4-5 days per week in-office at the King & Yonge financial district location. You will need to obtain the LLQP (Life Licence Qualification Program) license; the company covers costs and provides study support. Compensation is competitive with equity, no commission structure, and includes benefits such as TTC pass, RRSP matching, healthcare coverage, flexible leave, coaching support, and extended parental leave.
