Halter is a venture-backed agtech company revolutionizing grazing management through virtual fencing technology. The company enables farmers and graziers to run more productive and sustainable operations without traditional infrastructure like quad bikes, dogs, or physical fences. Backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC, Halter operates across Australia with strong traction in Tasmania and expanding presence in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia, and the Northern Territory. As an Account Manager, you will own revenue retention, renewals, and expansion for Halter's existing customer base in Northern Victoria. Your responsibilities span multiple dimensions: managing customer relationships to ensure farmers extract full value from the Halter system; supporting onboarding, training, and implementation on customer farms; and acting as the voice of the customer to product teams, providing on-ground context about farmer needs and outcomes. Your day-to-day work includes proactively cultivating genuine relationships with farmers, their teams, and families; strategically partnering with customers to establish clear business goals and success metrics; providing prompt technical and operational support; representing the Halter brand in the community; and leading local discussion groups to build brand visibility. You'll work closely with product teams to provide technical and practical advice on reproduction, pasture management, and agronomy from a farmer's perspective. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in relationship management or account management, ideally with background in dairy farming or agriculture. You'll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high autonomy, strong business acumen, and a genuine passion for helping farmers succeed. Extensive travel throughout Victoria is required. Halter offers competitive remuneration including salary, benefits, health insurance, 6 months paid parental leave for primary caregivers, $1,000 annual self-development budget, wellness leave, and an employee stock ownership plan.
