As the first Account Manager in Flexport's Australian market, you will be a founding member of the commercial team, responsible for building and scaling the business in the region. You will own a portfolio of clients and drive growth through upselling and cross-selling Flexport's supply chain and technology products.
Key responsibilities include: taking ownership of business growth within your client portfolio through strategic upselling and cross-selling; conducting discovery conversations to understand client business goals and proactively recommend solutions; serving as a trusted advisor and advocating for client needs internally; running regular client touchpoints and business reviews both on-site and online; collaborating cross-functionally with Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Implementation, and Trade & Financial Services teams; monitoring client health to identify opportunities early; and championing product adoption by mastering the Flexport platform.
You will need at least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or supply chain operations. A background in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain is highly preferred. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong organizational discipline, and problem-solving ability. A client-service mindset and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution are essential. Experience with retail, electronics, tech verticals, global team collaboration, and AI adoption are bonuses.
