Convene Hospitality Group operates a global portfolio of lifestyle hospitality brands focused on creating places and experiences for gatherings of all kinds, from corporate meetings to brand activations. We are seeking an Account Manager to join our global sales team, reporting to the Head of Meeting & Event Sales.
In this role, you will maintain extensive knowledge of Convene's products and locations while building the brand locally and regionally. You will conduct and coordinate site inspections, virtual tours, client appointments, and quarterly business reviews with key accounts. Your responsibilities include discovering new local meeting and event decision makers, maintaining and growing current and prospective clients, and generating, negotiating, and closing agreements to client specifications.
You will rapidly respond to client enquiries, maintain up-to-date account details, and attend networking events to maintain and grow business. You will cultivate relationships with allocated key accounts through consultative sales efforts to reach and exceed commercial goals. The role involves owning and cultivating a number of accounts selected based on location, volume, and spend, and securing repeat business associated with your allocated account pipeline.
You will optimize conversion rates, process enquiries in a timely manner aligned with CHG sales strategy, and create and maintain account plans for allocated accounts. You will support wider regional sales efforts in increasing market share and optimizing value for clients across the portfolio's brands. Additionally, you will optimize client experience and maximize revenue opportunities through technology and event upsells, identify potential accounts for Platform Partnership Agreements, and aggregate key account intel and metrics in CHG's CRM.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of sales-related experience, with experience in physical or virtual events, real estate, or flexible workspaces being a plus. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management and organizational abilities, and the capacity to effectively build relationships with clients and work well with team members.
