Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for major brands like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. We are seeking a proactive Account Manager to join our London team and manage relationships with innovative international merchants across multiple industries.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term partnerships with strategic merchants to reduce churn and maximize account value. You'll proactively identify growth opportunities and drive commercial discussions to expand accounts and meet financial targets. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing a portfolio of accounts across varying verticals, collaborating with cross-functional teams on initiatives and projects, and acting as the voice of the customer within the organization by providing feedback that improves both product and merchant experience.
You will independently manage and prioritize tasks across multiple accounts with varying timelines, leveraging internal support teams where relevant. The role requires strong project management skills, the ability to present and negotiate complex pricing models, and excellent organizational abilities. You'll work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy and the opportunity to develop expertise in the global payments landscape through our Account Manager Academy.
The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of experience in a client-facing and commercial role, either on the merchant side or in complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services. You are a self-starter with a curious mindset, motivated by team commercial targets and proven ability to drive growth within existing portfolios. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English, are essential. Additional languages are a plus. You should be highly organized with excellent time management skills and a constant drive to improve team efficiency.
