KickUp is a K-12 professional growth platform helping school districts develop their educators and improve student outcomes. The company has achieved product-market fit with an NPS above 90 and is expanding its sales team. As an Account Executive, you will own the full B2B sales cycle selling to school district leaders (Professional Learning, HR, Teaching & Learning, Technology teams). This is a complex, multi-stakeholder sale where end users are not always decision-makers. You will manage discovery calls, product demos, objection handling, contracting, and closing. In your first week, you'll onboard with the team, learn the platform, and review customer testimonials and case studies. By month one, you'll join sales calls, begin setting your own meetings, and move deals through the pipeline. Within three months, you'll attend industry conferences to network and build your territory pipeline, collaborate with marketing on region-specific campaigns, and share best practices with the team. By year one, you'll close multiple deals, exceed quota, build lasting district relationships, and master the CRM (HubSpot) for forecasting and pipeline management. You bring a minimum of 2 years of sales experience with at least 1 year in K-12 EdTech. You're motivated by revenue growth, hungry to learn, naturally relationship-focused, persistent in follow-through, comfortable with ambiguity, and demonstrate ownership. You work effectively across diverse teams and have a team-player mindset. KickUp is remote-first with flexibility: extended holiday breaks, summer Fridays, and "Focus Fridays" (limited Slack/meetings). Semi-annual team on-sites occur. Some travel is expected for conferences and regional meetings within Texas. The role offers stock options, 401(k) matching, universal paid parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, professional learning stipend, and flexible PTO.
